What is The Free African?
The Free African, a project of the FAK, is an internet magazine striving to work on a new vision of Africa where the emphasis is not only on building the state or the corporation, but especially the community. We strive to launch discussions and actions between Afrikaners, the broader Afrikaans commonwealth, South Africa, Africa and the world in the name of this vision. We believe that language development is the precondition of economic, political and community development, which is why we welcome contributions in any language. Contributions are published as far as possible in the language that they were received, with an Afrikaans translation, and may be submitted to the editor at redakteur@vryeafrikaan.co.za, or to The Editor, The Free African, PO Box 2655, Brooklyn Square, 0075, SOUTH AFRICA. The magazine has a monthly as well as a weekly edition. The monthly edition, The Free African, is published every first Friday of the month, and contains comment on current affairs, reaction from our readers, as well as analytical and news articles. The weekly edition, The Free African-Meanwhile, is published every Friday and contains comment on current affairs as well as sporadic analytical and news articles. Make sure you are informed on a weekly basis about new contributions to Die Vrye Afrikaan by clicking here. These updates as well as our website will in the near future be mainly in Afrikaans, but we hope to make it available in more than one language as soon as our resources permit it.
